Failing Like an Expert

In this blog, I will document my endeavours—or should I say struggles—to obtain an MA in Translation. “Translation???” you might ask yourself. Yes, translation.

In these times of AI and machine translation, when virtually anyone can read and understand any language with the help of a browser or one of the many fancy MT tools out there, I am devoting my time to the art and craft of human translation—the transposition of meaning from one language into another.

I know this is a dying trade, one that I practiced for ten years between 2000 and 2010, and I’ve always regretted not having properly learned it. In this blog, I will let you participate in my struggles of finally learning it properly.
